I like to re-knit all of my patterns throughout the year. It is an opportunity to iron out any errors and improve how I describe the making process. I have wanted to make the Little Pip Cardigan so badly, but kept putting it back because I had orders to fulfil.
I was gifted some couture tweed offcuts from a friend and wanted to incorporate it on this version to add depth and texture. So far I have completed the back and fronts and created a lovely pocket top detail using the tweed.
I am currently finishing the first sleeve and am making the cuff separately rather than knitting it as a part of the sleeve as instructed. I want to echo the pocket top style on the cuff.
Finally completed the cardigan on 21 January 2022, I re-knitted the cuff 10 times! I wasn't one hundred percent happy with it, but hey ho. I added a tweed accent to one side of the collar, really love the a-symmetric feel. It fits like a glove, so I'm delighted. Took all 6 seasons of Downton to make!
